Top Bollywood Celebrities featured at Madame Tussauds – Hong Kong!!

Ever heard of that world famous wax museum in London, UK? The one that features pop stars, athletes, politicians, royalty, along with numerous other world renowned celebrities to exhibit their presence during different eras of humanity?
Well Madame Tussaud’s wax museum has now grown to become a major tourist attraction in London. It has expanded and will expand with branches in Amsterdam, Bangkok, Berlin, Blackpool, Dubai, Hollywood, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Las Vegas, New York City, Shanghai, Sydney, Vienna and Washington DC. Today’s wax figures at Tussauds include historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and famous murderers. Known as “Madame Tussauds” museums (no apostrophe), they are owned by a leisure company called Merlin Entertainments, following the acquisition of The Tussauds Group in May 2007.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong unveiled the superstar collection of Bollywood A-Lister, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Shahrukh Khan. They will reside alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the World Premiere zone from now until July 19, 2012.

Designed to allow fans across the globe to meet the Bollywood idols, the wax figures are now on a world tour as they travel from Blackpool to other Madame Tussauds attractions including Hong Kong, Bangkok, London and other sites in Europe and the US.
These four Bollywood icons have already arrived and are waiting to meet their fans in Hong Kong, along with Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema and the very first permanent Bollywood wax figure exhibited at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
Kelly Mak, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, said, ‘We are very excited to see some of the greatest Bollywood stars take the stage here in Hong Kong. As we observe an increasing number of visitors from India, I’m sure they would be pleased to see their idols up close even away from home.’
Amitabh Bachchhan is the first even Bollywood star who got the honor of joining other 400+ wax statues at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in London. The most recent addition features Madhuri Dixit whose wax statue is getting unveiled on 7th March 2012.
